Communications Committee    

The purpose of the communications committee is:

• Communicate the ACS mission and activities on a county-wide level

• Work with facilities to develop relationships and activities with their local communities.

Committee Activities:

• Continue to implement the Shelter In Place education program across Hamilton County in partnership with the Cincinnati Fire Department, American Red Cross and Hamilton County EMA.

• Each spring and summer, the Alliance sponsors Shelter In Place booths at various safety fairs and environmental festivals.

• The Alliance recently purchased a Shelter In Place turtle mascot costume and various giveaways to promote the program through grants from FEMA and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

• Publishes an annual newsletter.

• Updates this website.
